Big update for every YouTube lover out there! Google has finally opened up the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode to free users on Android. Earlier, this feature was only available to YouTube Premium subscribers, forcing many to either upgrade or switch apps for multitasking.
Now, you can simply swipe down or hit the home button while watching a video and it will shrink into a small floating window. You can browse other apps, reply to messages, or scroll through social media without pausing your video. It's super convenient for those quick watches during busy days.
However, there's one catch – this doesn't apply to music videos. Music content still requires YouTube Premium for background or PiP playback, just like before.
