OTTplay Shutting Down It's Subscriptions From March 31.

Hindustan Media Ventures (the company behind OTTplay, from the Hindustan Times group) has decided to stop taking new subscriptions starting March 31, 2026. After that date, you won't be able to sign up for any fresh plans.

They mentioned in their stock exchange filing that the business isn't turning profitable as fast as they hoped. The whole aggregator model has been tough with high costs and too much competition.

The one positive part – if you already have an active subscription, they say they'll keep supporting you till your plan actually ends. You'll still get access to all the bundled platforms like before.

But once your current pack expires, renewals might not be possible anymore. I checked a few reports, and it looks like they're basically winding down new business while honouring existing users for now.

If you're on OTTplay right now, go into the app, check My Profile > My Subscription, and note down your expiry date. Might be smart to think about alternatives before it runs out.

This space has been rough for bundlers lately. Too many apps, expensive content rights, and users jumping between deals.

Have any of you been using OTTplay? Was it worth it for you? Or are you already planning to switch to something else? Drop your thoughts in the comments – especially if your subscription is ending soon.
