JioHotstar on Monday announced a price hike across its Super and Premium subscription tiers, while also introducing monthly plans across all categories, with the new pricing set to take effect from January 28, 2026.
The revision increases quarterly and annual prices for higher-end users, while at the same time adding lower-cost monthly entry points, starting at ₹79 for mobile-only viewers.
According to the company, this pricing reset reflects a change in viewing behaviour, with more households shifting towards connected TVs and multi-device consumption. JioHotstar said large-screen viewing has seen sharp growth over the past year, prompting the platform to align its pricing with home-based streaming patterns.
Mobile users will not see any change in quarterly and annual pricing. However, Super and Premium subscribers will have to pay more for longer-duration plans. The Premium annual plan has been revised from ₹1,499 to ₹2,199, while the Super annual plan has increased from ₹899 to ₹1,099. Quarterly pricing for both tiers has also been raised.
At the same time, JioHotstar has rolled out monthly plans across all tiers, offering greater flexibility for first-time users and those opting for short-term subscriptions.
