'Walking Dead Universe' Streaming Rights In India Explained

The Walking Dead universe is something that has grown to a special place in my heart with all those engaging zombie apocalypse scenarios.

The show started from The Walking Dead. Expanded into a universe with multiple spin-offs and short content. AMC holds the rights to the entire Walking Dead universe, and they distribute it around the world for the same.

In the United States, AMC themselves distribute the entire Walking Dead universe on their own platform, AMC+, but for global, they have been signing deals with different partners for their different shows. For the latest, they signed a deal with Netflix to bring the entire collection to Netflix, which also includes shows like "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon," "The Walking Dead: Dead City," and "The Walking Dead: One Who Lives."

'Walking Dead Universe' In India

But when it comes to India, things get a little bit trickier with rights issues. The main Walking Dead series is streaming on Netflix in India without any Hindi dub. On the other hand, Fear the Walking Dead was streaming on Amazon Prime Video India. Until December 2025 with Hindi, Tamil & Telugu dubs, making it the only show in the entire Walking Dead universe to be available in Hindi or regional dubs, but it also got removed from the platform due to expiry of rights.

The spinoff shows, like "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon," "The Walking Dead: Dead City," and "The Walking Dead: One Who Lives," are streaming on Amazon Prime Video India without any dubs, but the third season of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" is not yet streaming in India despite its premiere in 2025.

AMC is yet to find a streaming partner for Daryl Dixon season 3 & Fear the Walking Dead in India.

We will inform you about any possible streaming collaboration that might take place in future for india.
