HBO Max Hub Launched In India Starting From ₹49/-

Today, not only did Euphoria Season 3 premiere on JioHotstar, but HBO Max also launched in India along with the entire library of premium Warner Bros. catalogue that was earlier missing from the Jio-Warner Bros. licensing deal.

As we all know, the current deal between Warner Bros. Discovery and JioHotstar was set to expire in April. Instead of parting ways, the collaboration has been extended with a bigger scope. A dedicated HBO Max hub has now been introduced within the existing JioHotstar platform. This move significantly increases the footprint and brand value of HBO Max in India through JioHotstar.

It is also confirmed that upcoming premium shows like House of the Dragon Season 3 and the Harry Potter series will release exclusively on JioHotstar. Existing shows such as Euphoria Season 3, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Game of Thrones are already streaming on the platform.

On the pricing front, multiple media outlets have reported that this is more of an add-on than a typical licensing deal. Users may need to purchase a separate add-on starting from ₹49 to access HBO Max content and other international titles on JioHotstar.

As of now, HBO Max content is streaming free under the regular JioHotstar subscription, and no separate add-on feature is visible on the JioHotstar application.

This could be an indication towards the Hollywood add-on that JioHotstar mobile subscribers may have to pay for in order to watch Hollywood content. Hollywood content was discontinued under the mobile subscription tier as of January 2026.
